Every Darkwater Fins tail is more than a creation, it’s a collaboration between you and the depths. Each design begins as a vision, shaped through careful artistry, hand-crafted detailing, and the signature ethereal touch that defines our work.
To begin, complete the Custom Tail Form below. You’ll choose your fluke shape, color palette, and any unique details you’d like to bring to life. Beneath each fluke name, you’ll find its compatible monofin clearly listed. Once your form is submitted, our team will review your request and reach out with a quote and next steps.
If commissions are closed, the website will note it, but you can join our newsletter or follow us on social media to be notified when new custom slots surface.
Delivery
When your tail is complete, it’s wrapped in Darkwater’s signature presentation, sealed, and prepared for its journey to you. All orders ship fully insured, ensuring your creation arrives safely and in pristine condition.
Domestic deliveries typically arrive within 3–7 business days, while international orders may take 2–4 weeks, depending on location and customs. Please note that shipping time is not included in the production timeframe.
Timeframe
Each tail is born slowly, precision cannot be rushed. From printing to final finish, the typical production window is 12–16 weeks from the time your deposit is received and materials are secured. This allows every shimmer, seam, and scale to meet the exacting standards of Darkwater craftsmanship.
You’ll receive updates as your tail moves through the stages of creation, and another message once it’s ready to ship from our studio.
To begin your custom piece, a non-refundable deposit is required. This secures your place in the queue and covers the design process and initial materials. Once your tail design is complete, you’ll receive preview photos for final approval before the remaining balance is collected. After that, production will begin.
Payments are processed securely through our website. We accept major credit and debit cards, and offer financing options through our partnered providers when available. Because each tail is handcrafted to your specifications, all custom orders are final sale once production has begun.
